I wonder what's the story on that last photo? Who plants three of them on what looks like rock? Extremely stunted.
Hayward Ca. 75-80f summers,60f winters.

Thats a habitat shot in Madagascar. There’s only a few left there in habitat , which is why the palm wasn’t discovered until about 15 years ago. They are monocarpic like an agave, and it’s about a 40 year wait for seed from what I’ve heard.

I think the first picture is a shot of the third palm a few years later. That thing has become a monster growing on the edge of a Florida canal.
