Peruvian suckering species with narrow, bifid, ribbed leaves and thin (1/4") bright green stems. This is a very sought after species and a bit slow and difficult due in part to its low tolerance for frost, sun, dry heat and wind. Grows and looks better in very protected gardens, near the coast, in greenhouses or in Hawaii.
