Gaussia princeps

#1

Post by Geoff »

Cuban species up to 50' tall. Like most other Gaussias, starts out looking like a bottle palm with fat, closely ringed trunk and sparse head of leaves (though plumose). Then gets tall, skinny and topped it small crown far above the canopy. Very cold sensitive, though has been grown in California in the perfect microclimates.
