genus of about 26 species of very spiny, climbing rattan, monoecious palms with generally fishtail, ridged leaflets that are whitish on the underside. All are from Asia, though spread across most of Asia. There are a lot of similar palms and the only ones I have seen were not speciated. I only have one photo of one left from a collection in Thailand. ... no idea what species it is.
