Girls can make lip gloss using the easy-to-use lip gloss mixer, four different flavored and scented lip glosses (strawberry, blueberry, grape, vanilla) and loose glitter. Girls can then choose their favorite colors to blend and add sparkle from the glitter wand. By simply attaching any of the three sweet treat containers to the mixer, girls spin to create their very own creations. The containers can be used to store the lip gloss or serve as storage for jewelry or accessories. I see that there are all positive reviews for this toy but I had to add one more! It really is a cute toy. Easy to use and fun to do. The box is even easy to open (a refreshing change!) I love that it comes with it's own carrying case to put everything in. My 6 year old daughter loves it and can't get enough of it. I highly recommend!
My 3 (almost 4) year old is obsessed with Barbie. When we bought one of the movies there was a few of these cards in the DVD as a promotional gimmick. It worked. She loved the idea that she could design and dress up Barbie without having to struggle with getting actual arms and legs into small clothes. I managed to snag one on Amazon (keep searching, they become available, I promise!) for the great price and waited to give it to her until Valentine's day.
She loves it. We had fun organizing them into the carrying case and getting it all set up. Then we moved to the computer and got the program working. I thought she would have a problem sliding the cards through the scanner but she doesn't! She's learned how to do it well and has spent over an hour each day so far dressing up Barbie and showing off her clothing. She has even fiddled around with the "magazine cover" part and has asked to print out a copy of the cover to color (a very nice feature - it turns any Barbie outfit into a coloring page!)
I am extremely happy with this toy and want to let everyone know that even my almost 4 year old can play it and enjoy it, along with her mother!! Great toy Barbie designers - I am very, very impressed.

We had issues with it and our computer at first. Not the fault of the product, our computer is just old and could not handle it. We later got a new computer and it ran fine. Our daughter likes it and says it has many variations to keep her busy.
My 7-yr old likes to play dress up games online. There are not a lot of good, safe options on the internet so I was pleased when I found this product which appears to be sold only on amazon.com. Once you download the CD-Rom onto your computer which takes a couple minutes, just plug in the Barbie Fashion USB device and scan the fashion cards to design the outfits!
There seems to be a lot of features in this game. I was a little hesitant to purchase this since it is a bit expensive, but the product works as advertised. It comes beautifully packaged with a lot of fashion cards (dresses, skirts, bottoms, tops, shoes and accessories and also 5 different Barbie models.) Scanning the fashion cards through the swiper is super easy and fun. Each card has a teeny tiny bar code on the back and when swiped successfully, the program will let you know via blinking red LED lights on the swiper and also a musical chime in the game. You can swipe all the Barbie models and all the fashion cards into the game if you want. Everything pops up on the computer screen and is saved for you to play around with the outfits on screen. You can switch models at any time with a simple click of the arrow on screen and likewise with the clothing and accessories. Save your favorite completed outfits and then choose which model will wear which outfit. Then it is time for the fashion model runway show, and you get to choose the runway location (5 to choose from), lights and music...
We only played for a little bit last night, but as you can see, this game offers a lot of features and is perfect for the little one (or Mommy) who likes to play dress up! My only caveat is that the cards are super thin and made of plastic, so we will need to be careful to handle with extra care :).
My 5 year old got this and just loves it! She mostly enjoys playing it on the computer. You swipe the designs into the program (that is really fun for them to do) and then you can do all kinds of fun things with it- have fashion shows, design magazine covers,etc. She loves it. The more cards you have, the better. If you only have a few designs, it is not as much fun. I also ordered the hand held design maker and it was not that much fun. I recommend the computer game highly.
