A good product but not appropriate for high throughput data xfers

This hub works fine to connect multiple USB devices to your computer while displaying on an external monitor over HDMI. It thus does what it is says it does. I had difficulty using with an application that pumps data over an "active" USB cable between 2 computers. My Dell mini hub handled it just fine but the data xfer kept on failing when using this hub. This is a very special use case when the 2 computers handshake during data transfers. This hub works well for eveything else. Good value.

HDMI adapter stopped working after 6 weeks (Edited: Watch our for software updates)

Started off really good. Was able to use this in a home office setup that allowed me to switch between two laptops. Sometime in the last 24 hours, the monitor stopped being detected. Went through the whole troubleshooting checklist and verified all other devices in the setup were good to go, except for this one. USB ports were still working, but the HDMI port definitely stopped working. Word of caution that this might not be the long term solution you need.

So it wasn't the device. My work laptop decided to do an update that stopped the auto-sensing of the monitor. It just did another update and it works again.

Will upgrade the score from 1 to 4 stars. Still minus one star because it sometimes isn't able to process multiple USB inputs properly (starts to call for low USB resources when you have a keyboard, mouse, headphones and webcam).

Search thru and read reviews of several USB-C hubs and decide to buy this item even though it has some bad reviews. A day before I bought one with same configuration (IKL... has 4 USBs), its PD port doesn't work (most of reviews don't cover this function). I use this with my S21 Ultra phone via HDMI cable and everything works flawlessly (with all ports occupied). It can charge my phone while I'm using it. The reason to buy this, it's easier to work with mouse and keyboard on the big screen vs phone screen. It feels a tad of warmth after a while. This type of hub is used to be big and bulky, now you can take this with you anywhere. I'm really happy with the purchase. Shipping is really quick, thanks to overnight delivery. Anyone is looking for screen sharing device or as Samsung Dex, this is the one and I highly recommend it.

I have been using this item for a bit of time now. So far no issues. I use it to connect a second monitor to my work computer. Allows for accessories to be attached and used when connected to a computer. Ethernet option is quite nice when needing faster speeds then wifi can provide. It will also allow connection to Steam Decks and Phones with USB C ports. Using it now to type this review. Recommend.

Ethernet unreliable, cool*er* but not cool, HDMI good, questionable USB speeds?

I previously had a USB hub with similar functionality which was encountering heat and reliability problems. I purchased this to replace it. At first glance, this was a step up from my previous hub:

* HDMI worked well (at 4K) - every bit as good as my laptop's built in adapter. No complaints there.
* It ran cooler.

Additionally, most of the things that should work, worked: USB input devices work, USB data transfer works, charging (I use a 60+ Watt PD charger) works as expected, Ethernet works-ish (see below).

That's where the benefits ended. The problems, which resulted in me returning it were:

* Ethernet was unreliable. Although it did work, it would stop working, and then not start again. The lights were on at the plug end but data transfer to the laptop was not occurring. Had to depower the whole setup and let it cool off to get it to work again. I think this is probably an early hardware failure of some sort.

* USB transfer speeds were not fast. Granted, I don't know what they should realistically be given I'm also running 4K video over the same connection. Quite possibly I am maxing out the capacity of the device by attemtpting 4K + fast data transfer to a USB3 drive, but when I plug the drive into the laptop I get >100MB/s, and on the hub it maxes out around 30MB/s.

Aside from the maybe defective hardware, it appeared to be a nicely made unit. Maybe the problems were unique to this hub?
