[London : Drapers’ Record, 1895]. An attractive antique print – the church of St. Lawrence Jewry in the late nineteenth century. From an original design by the painter and illustrator William Luker, originally engraved in Paris by Ch. Guillaume & Cie. for John Wells Thatcher’s “Textile London” (1895).
Hand touched and finished half-tone process block. Image area 216 x 149mm (approx. 8-1/2” x 5-3/4”). A couple of tiny specks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Hand touched and finished half-tone process block. Later hand colour. Image area 158 x 108mm (approx. 6-1/4” x 4-1/4”). Text on verso, but in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : J. Booth, 1811. A handsome antique print – a spacious view of the Wren church built between 1670 and 1687. Engraved by John Taylor Wedgwood (1783-1856) from an original study by Robert Blemmel Schnebbelie. Originally produced for the part-work series “Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views” (London : 1810-1823) – “the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building” (Adams). Below the image are several lines of explanatory text.
Etching and line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 199 x 203mm (approx. 7-7/8” x 8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 129/063.

[London : Jones & Co., 1830]. An attractive antique print – a pleasant view of the church, with elegantly attired figures in the foreground. St. Lawrence Jewry, rebuilt by Wren in 1671-1677 after the Great Fire. Engraved by James Tingle (1801-1858) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. From Shepherd's series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (1829-1832).
