Larry Lieber

Larry Lieber (Born 1931) is active/lives in New York.  Larry Lieber is known for Spider-Man comic strip.

Comic book/comic strip illustrator and writer Larry Lieber was born October 26, 1931, in New York City, growing up in the Bronx and Washington Heights. He is the younger brother of Stan Lee (Lieber), the publisher and creator of many Marvel Comics superheroes. Larry Lieber studied at the Pratt Art Institute, Brooklyn, New York, and the Art Students League, New York City. Beginning in 1951, he spent four years in the Air Force during the Korean War era, two years in Okinawa, before pursuing his chosen field. While also teaching, Lieber wrote and drew stories about monsters, heroes, cowboys and love.

In 1962, Lieber's first super-hero work was Thor in Journey into Mystery, #83, but he also wrote and drew stories for characters like The Human Torch; Tales of the Watch; the Was; Tales to Astonish; Ant-Man; and Giant-Man; before moving to The Rawhide Kid.
