- A: AnswerThis sound system does come with an HDMI and Optical cable. The installation instructions only show a direct connect with your tv. The HDMI cable connects to the eARC port on the back of the tv. But using the optical connection will not support Dolby Atmos.

- A: AnswerTry a different HDMI cable that's what it took for my LG OLED. And try connecting it first then powering it on. If not you may want to use the included optical connection; other than atmos you won't notice a marked difference in fidelity.

- A: AnswerHi nj, If connected via HDMI, the Signa S4 will switch-on automatically when the TV is switched-on. It is a good idea to make sure your TV has it's CEC (HDMI Control) feature activated. if connected with optical or analog cabling, it would depend how long the TV were off before the Signa S4 shuts-down. This type of electronic device usually has an auto-off feature (typically 15 minutes of inactivity).

Excellent for watching movies
Excellent audio quality when watching movies with dolby atmos. Bass is louder and clear. Without this soundbar i can hardly hear dialogue but after having this soundbar i enjoy watching movies with crystal clear dialogue with bass. Feels like watching movies in theater. When playing music i feel treble is little less for this only i gave 4 out of 5 stars.

Kickass Sound Bar
I bought this sound bar in conjunction with a new TV for my apartment set up. My main goals for this sound bar was: -Music quality for hosting get togethers -True Dolby Atmos cinema -3.5mm hook up for my record player This sound bar delivered amazingly on the above. Having watched true Dolby Atmos content via a Roku Ultra, passed thru my new Vizio MQ7 via eArc and confirming with the light blue light on the sound bar the sound quality is nothing short of stunning. True "airy" feeling surround. Now this will not reproduce like a true 5.1/7.1 system can with dedicated behind channels, but I wanted a 2.1 system as I am in an apartment and didn't need clutter of wires behind my couch. This delivers true cinema quality sound on movies shot in Atmos and even TV shows. It produces "half bubble" of sound, not like an all enveloping sound bubble a 5.1/7.1 system would give. But well more than a wall of sound typical sound bars would give. The 2 Atmos height channels are noticeable and give dimension to the sound stage making it feel like a half bubble of sound. For the price of $400 this is a great deal. Music wise this is a true neutral sound system, everything from EDM to rap to rock sounds true and well balanced. I'll add I considered and bought this system also for it's low tech 3.5mm connection for my record player--I am BLOWN away by the sound quality of this sound bar paired with my Audio-Technica AT-LP120 player. I cross shopped this system with a Klipsch Cinema 600 system and was worried this system would not produce enough bass with a barely 6" sub, but it is more than is enough for most medium sized living rooms. Deep true bass that I have yet to feel is underpowered. For $400 you are getting true Dolby Atmos, not a fake processor powered version, a great sound stage and an overall great product from a legacy brand like Polk. I would give this sound bar a 9/10 and highly recommend it for doing everything it advertises and then some. My only complaint really nitpick is the remote is cheap feeling, but I rarely use it as my Roku remote controls the bar with no issue.

Excellent soundbar for the price !
Excellent soundbar for the price! No frills soundbar, does the job and connects easily to any system you may have. Used with PS5 and AppleTV, used iVR to control the audio without needing the remote.
