Brice Davin Orwald Larson

October 21, 1971 - July 14, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Brice announces his passing after a brief illness on July 14, 2018 at 46 years of age. Brice will be lovingly be remembered by his parents Orlin and Ivadell (Varty) Larson, brothers Brent and his wife Aaron, Blaine and his wife Roxie, niece Nicole, nephews Tyler, Brodi, Braydin (who is also his godson) and Arik Larson, goddaughter Nikki Meally, four aunts Marilyn (Elwin) Bergiman, Joan Love, Verna (Dale) Ballard, and Debra (Duane) Houdek and numerous cousins.

Brice was born in Minot, ND on October 21, 1971. He grew up in Washburn where he was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church. In high school he was very musical, playing in jazz and high school band. He performed in a summer play, Front Street Musical, in Ogallala, NE in 1989. He also played baseball and football in high school and graduated in 1990.

He played in a band a couple years after high school with friends. He attended Moorehead State for a couple of years then started working for Ames Construction as a construction supervisor in the Salt Lake City area. He recently volunteered to direct music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton, UT and lived in Spanish Fork, UT. He was a volunteer skater in the opening ceremony in the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

Brice loved his job working for Ames Construction for 25 years. He loved meeting new co-workers. He loved having fun on the job, teasing co-workers, laughing with them and meeting them on the next one.

Brice loved traveling with his nephew, nieces, brothers, sisters-in-law, and mom and dad to sports events that his nephew or nieces played in; from San Diego, Boise, Las Vegas, and Minnesota. Brice loved his nephews and nieces and loved supporting them and did whatever he could do to get to their games and support them.

Brice got excited when old high school buddies organized meeting somewhere in the country to have a good time, at a professional sporting event, or just hanging with his buddies from the Washburn area. Brice loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his dog Dakota.

Brice loved his cousins and when family got together for whatever reason. He wanted to go see uncles, aunts, grandmas, grandpas, cousins, because he really enjoyed them. We will miss Brice playing instruments with his dad at our house; as he loved entertaining with his dad.

Brice was a very caring person and would help anyone in need if possible. On recent trips to Minnesota for his nephew’s sports, he flew into Bismarck to help mom and dad drive, so they could have quality time together.

A graveside service will be held in Minot, ND at the Rosehill Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Tyler Larson, Brodi Larson, Arik Larson, Wiley Pfleiger, Braydin Larson, Tracy Bergiman and Duane Houdek and honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.

Donations for Brice can be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 13249 S. Redwood Rd. Riverton, UT 84065 or to the First Lutheran Church, PO Box 218 Washburn, ND 58577.
