    One of my all time favorite authors is William Gibson, but I am not letting that bias my opinion here. He has moved from the "cyberpunk" genre, which he pioneered, into modern day, alternative fiction recently. Spook County is his latest foray. Picking up in the same time frame as his prior book, Pattern Recognition, Spook County follows the story of an ex-lead singer of a pseudo popular 4 person Goth band, the Curfew. She made and lost her millions and has now turned independent contractor and writer-at-large for a start-up magazine, Node. Following leads so she can write her article, her adventures take her all over, and I mean all over (Japan, Russia, England, Canada and points between) following leads, which I will not get into so I do not spoil the plot. She ends up partnering ...

  • Time wasted.

    I bought this audiobook to listen to driving. I could not get engaged in the story but I listened to the end. I consider it time wasted, nothing learned or felt.
