About this product

Product Information

Save a ship's crew from a fiery demise in this thriller that mixes over two hours of live-action video with sci-fi adventure. Alongside your fellow crewmembers (stars Tia Carrere and Christian Bocher), you take the role of Casey. Part man, part machine, you'll race against time to prevent your spacecraft from being engulfed by an alien sun. The four-CD game takes through four levels of difficulty, all set far away in an icy, war-torn galaxy.

  • The Daedalus Encounter (3DO)

Lets start with the good points of the game. Like alot of 3DO games, alot of the cut scenes are live video recording, not animation(this is a plus to me, because animated facial expressions were not quite there yet). Next is a good story line. Great graphics. And then the game picks it up and smashes it against a wall with the game play. It sucks the big one. Its a puzzle game that has you spinning around in circles before you are aloud to do anything. This game would have actually been pretty good if you had some control over what you got to do, instead of the game taking control 3/4 of the time. That why this game is below average. Great cut scenes, great graphics and great story, but falls short on everything else.

  • Great Game

Its a great game. An interactive movie. Great acting, Great effects. A hard one to find but a great one to keep.

  • The Daedalus Encounter (3DO,1995)

This is an allright game mostly all you do is watch there are a few puzzels to slove. It's like watching a movie.

  • This game rocks

What a blast. It's an interactive movie. It kinda reminds me of Myst, only things actually move. Given the price, this is a must own game for any 3DO collector.
