About this product

Product Information

The "DJ Max Portable" series of music rhythm games spins its way to North America for the first time, bringing with it all the frenetic action and uptempo music that made it popular in Korea. Similar in construction to the PS2 game beatmania, DJ Max Fever: Emotional Sense employs the "falling notes" method of rhythm gameplay, requiring users to press specific buttons when notes hit the designated area. The game includes more than 50 songs, and as players progress they can unlock dozens of music videos, soundtracks, and images. Five difficulty levels and multiple button configurations let gamers challenge themselves, but those looking for human competition can also take on friends in wireless network battles.

  • Worth the buy, but not the disc version

This game is extremely addicting and features an array of button modes to accommodate for beginners and advanced DJs. If you like Beatmania, DDR, or music rhythm games in general you will get into this game. There are a few drawbacks with this game in particular though. The instruction manual is trilingual but is not very informative on game controls and game modes/systems. So you'll have to go online and search for just play and get the hang of for yourself. Also, the PSP UMD version (physically having the disc) is filled with bugs and glitches that make this version of the game obsolete compared to the Playstation Network downloadable version which has fixed the errors and glitches.

  • Great and inexpensive rhythm game for the PSP

I bought DJ Max Fever for the Playstation Portable (PSP) a few months ago and was suprised at how fun it was. The Korean game features songs from many different genres and presents them in a format similar to Guitar Hero and Rock Band. It offers the ability to play with either 4, 5, 6, or 8 buttons with the difficulty adjusting accordingly. They also have modes like Free Play, and the option to watch music videos and listen to music without gameplay. There are a few glitches though. Sometimes the game doesn't respond to the buttons correctly. So you can end up play a song in the 6 button mode perfectly with only two or three buttons. Which is good or bad depending on how you look at it. :D Nonetheless, with several modes of playability, levels of difficulty, and many extras, DJ Max Fever ...

  • AWESOME GAME!

I love this game! It's extremely challenging and is a great game for those interested in fast-paced, epileptic musical games that involve great coordination, quick reflexes, and a good set of eyes. The music listed in the game is quite enjoyable as well (for those who enjoy techno korean, japanese mixes) and contains a variety of genres such as hip hop, R&B, rock, trance, etc. For those who enjoy playing Lead/bass guitar in rock band/guitar hero and DDR and beatmania, this game is right for you!

  • Wow, i love this game!!!

It's a great game that was "made" for the psp. It has a great selection of songs, and a wide variety of difficulties so everyone can play and enjoy the game. I'm glad they finally released a dj max in the US.
