This particular hand-painted copy by Anna Poloz of Leonardo da Vinci's famous angel from the Virgin of the Rocks was an attempt to study this mastery of light as it washes over a benign angelic face.

This painting has been hand-painted with acrylic on wood and is sealed with a protective UV-resistant varnish over the paint in order to prevent the colors from fading or peeling over time. The wood is also varnished to prevent deterioration.
Due to the handmade nature of this painting, a subtle imperfection is present in the way the wood was cut in which one side of the wood is cut 2 millimeters taller than the other side.
