4.5 out of 5 starsAfter using these for a while, I figured out a faster way. Put all the chumket/bo ket in a large bowl and wash with cold water a couple of times to remove dirt. Put them into colander/bamboo basket to remove excess water. Put them on aluminum baking half sheet(s) and roast them on low heat in the oven until done; turn them over once half way through to make sure both sides are roasted. Let them cool, then put them in air-tight container. When ready to use, break 2 chumkets into small pieces with your hands, soak them in 14 ounces of water for a few hours/over night, then bring them to a gentle boil on stove top; let cool, pour into 14 ounces OXO Chef's Squeeze Bottle, and use it to shampoo when showering. Faster because no need to remove the seeds and no need to pulverize the chumket/bo ket into a powder.
If your hair is particular dirty/coated with hair products, you could add lime juice, lemongrass stalks, pomelo rinds, or other things to your chumket shampoo to make it even more powerful. I don't use any hair products, so just plain chumket (bo ket) works very well for me. Search the internet to see what else you could add to chumket if you needed to; so many people have great ideas out there. By the way, only 2 species (Gleditsia Australis & Gleditsia Fera) are indigenous to Viet Nam, but Gleditsia Australis is more widespread in Viet Nam. I think it was a mistake to identify the chumket being sold here as Gleditsia Triacanthos: More likely it is Gleditsia Australis...or at least Gleditsia Fera. Whatever...it's fantastic! Buy it.
Best shampoo ever. Very little suds, but powerful enough to clean hair. I only use 1 chumket to shampoo each time, so it's dirt cheap. Put 12 chumket in a dry pan to roast chumket on low heat; you will smell the unmistakable, pleasant fragrance of roasted chumket, then they're done... don't burn them. Let them cool down, put them in air-tight container to store. To use: use scissors to cut 1 chumket into small pieces but avoid cutting the seeds; use your hands to remove seeds & discard seeds because seeds could dry hair out; use mortar & pestle to crush small chumket pieces into powder; add chumket powder to small pot; add 12 to 14 ounces of water & bring to a gentle boil, using low heat; turn off heat when starts to boil; let it cool, pour into OXO Chef's Squeeze Bottle (12 ounces) to shampoo when showering. Discard sediments
NEVER RECEIVED PRODUCT. NEVER RECEIVED REFUND. THE SHOP IS UNPROFESSIONAL. LOST MONEY. DHL COURRIER CONFIRMED PACKAGE RETURNED. YOUR SHOP CONTINUES TO GIVE EXCUSES AND HAS BEEN RUDE. I LOST $145.00. My name is Karen Patterson. I ordered your organic wild Chumket. I paid $145.00 for 1000g. I have sent you several emails of DHL not being able to deliver the the product to me. The courier delivered to the wrong address. The second attempt the package was put on wrong truck. DHL courier told me that you as the seller gave them the wrong telephone number so the DHL courier could not contact me when package arrived at my address. I had a very bad experiences with DHL and very bad service with your shop. DHL confirmed return of your product to you. You are asking for me to pay fee. I have taken a $145.00 loss.
When the DHL tried to deliver the package , the DHL deliver man couldn't find her house, but we already tried to connect her but after a few days she unreason and one side asking for return the package, but the return option gonna be cost fee, but the buyer not agree to pay the fee cost.
