Verbena Bonariensis Lilac
A popular and attractive perennial which produces robust plants with a mass of wiry stems topped with an abundance of lavender blooms. Perfect planted in a border amongst other perennials where it will complement without smoothing. Height 120cm. Although a perennial it may struggle in very cold winters, thus a covering of mulch is recommended.

Cultivation Advice Verbena Bonariensis Lilac
Best sown Feb – Apr on the surface of a fine soil- based seed compost and gently pressed in. The seed needs light to germinate.
Cover the seed tray with a [piece of glass or place in a clear plastic bag to maintain humidity.
Germination 24-28C. failure to maintain the min temp will have a serious affect on germination success.
Germination in 14-21 days with sufficient warmth.
When large enough to handle prick out into trays or pots and grow on under cooler conditions.
Gradually acclimatise outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and plant in full sun with well-drained soil.
