Condolences & Donations

I was a close friend of Harvey for about 5 years until I moved to Toronto in 2011. Was looking to re-connect with him and found out he had passed. Thought he would out-live us all. He had so much energy and a laugh that could tear a house down. Funny, talented (musically and with a pair of ✂️) and a guaranteed mood lifter just to see him. He is truly missed.

My deepest sympathies to the Parker Family. Harvey was my first boss. I was his shampoo girl when he owned Fleur De Lis in the 101 Mall many years ago. He sometimes was very hard on me but he taught me well. We had so, so many laughs in the shop, you never knew what would come out of his mouth next. He was a man with so much talent, whether it was with scissors or with a musical instrument. You will be missed by all. You were my mentor as I'm still a hairstylist. Thank you Harvey and may you rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Parker Family today. I was a client of Harvey's for 25 years and miss him dearly. He always had a smile on his face when you came into his shop and you didn't leave with out a chuckle from him. He is no longer in pain and that's what counts the most. Diane

Jo-Anne Donnellyposted toHarvey Parker 33 minutes ago. I just heard the news. I knew Harvey for over 20 years. I will always remember what it felt like to walk into Harvey's salon near Christmas. It would be freezing and blowing like crazy outside and you would walk through the door and were instantly warmed by the laughter and bustle of his place and the Baileys. And no matter what he was doing he would come to the door to greet you and kiss you on both cheeks and say something very inappropriate...that always made me laugh. He had his this magical way of making everyone feel special.A gift that will be sadly missed and his greatest legacy. He put up a whale of a fight.Rest well my friend. Jo

I would like to offer my condolences to the entire Parker family. I had the pleasure of knowing Harvey for 37+ years. I can still remember when his parents moved to Timmins from Gaspe. After his courageous battle with cancer he is finally at peace and no longer suffering. He will finally be reunited with his father. may you rest in peace my friend. Sue & Jim Scott
