Schismatoglottis pusilla rare houseplant
  • Schismatoglottis pusilla Engl. is a beautifully variegated, smaller-growing aroid. Its leaf blades are dark green and variegated grey in bivittate or spattered pattern adaxially. Abaxially they are pale green and subglaucous .

     

    Schismatoglottis is a generic name form Greek schism, schismatos meaning separating, and glotta meaning tongue. The word tongue is referring to the variously deciduous upper part of the spathe that most of the species have.
