Diuris magnificaCommon name: Pansy Orchid

Meaning of name: Diuris is from the Greek words dis, meaning double, and oura, meaning tail, referring to the 2 hanging lateral sepals. Magnifica is from the Latin magnificus, meaning splendid or magnificent.

Distribution: Occurs in a narrow strip close to the coast between Kalbarri and Mandurah.

Description: Colourful Donkey Orchid flowers of yellow, orange and purple. The flowers are held up to 60cm high from August to October.
