Melaleuca seriata

Meaning of name: Melaleuca is from the Greek words melas, meaning black, and leucos, meaning white. It refers to the black trunk and white branches of some Asian species. Seriata is from the Latin word series, meaning row or series. Botanically it means arranged in a row.

Distribution: Occurs from Arrowsmith River to Fitzgerald River National Park.

Remarks: A shrub to 1 metre tall. The pink to purple flowers are produced from October to December.
