India's AFC Challenge Cup 2008 title-winning team - Who were they and where are they now?

The 2008 AFC Challenge Cup triumph was a historic chapter in the annals of Indian football as the Blue Tigers qualified for the 2011 Asian Cup for the first time in 27 years.

Sunil Chhetri's hat-trick inspired India to a 4-1 triumph over Tajikistan in the final of the competition which was held at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. The tournament was held in Hyderabad but the final was shifted to Delhi due to heavy rains in the Deccan region.

India were placed in Group A in the tournament finished at the top of the table with seven points from three matches. In the semifinal, they trumped Myanmar 1-0 and then got the better of Tajikistan in the final.
