Cambodian Ambassador to Indonesia Hor Nam Bora has requested the Indonesian government arrest fugitive Mu Sochua, former vice president of the court dissolved-CNRP.

The request was made after Sochua held a press conference today in Jakarta in which she attacked the Cambodian government.

According to a letter issued by the Cambodian embassy in Jakarta, Sochua is a fugitive and there is an arrest warrant issued against her by Phnom Penh Municipal Court for allegedly planning a coup against the legitimate government.

“The embassy of Cambodia in Jakarta requests Indonesian authorities to arrest Mu Sochua and deport her to Cambodia immediately in the true spirit of Asean,” the letter said.

Koy Kuong, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that the letter has been sent to Indonesian authorities by the embassy.

“The government of Cambodia and the government of Indonesia have worked together,” he said.

“We have previously sent court warrants; this is not the first time.”
