How can you use role-playing to evaluate team workshops effectively?
In my experience, role playing allows you to show up prepared. We can't always predict the outcome of a conversation. Though, role playing allows us to become more comfortable in our skin... creating a natural response in a situation that may incorporate a new topic or a new audience. Similar to "Practice makes perfect." No situation is perfect. Role playing allows not only the ability to be more aware of ones self (e.g. nonverbal communication, diction, voice strength, use of filler words "like, so, um), it allows for the presenter to be in alignment with those individuals receiving the message (e.g. demographics, personal/professional interests) in order to provoke thought and be seen as knowledgeable.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank celebrated their 40th Anniversary on March 2, 2013. On this day I volunteered by filling bags full of groceries for local families in need. With the help of our team we fed over 6,200 families in need.
On August 3, 2014, Our team filled 4,872 totes (2 bags/tote) full of groceries. In total we filled 9,744 bags with groceries to feed hungry families in need around the Los Angeles County area. -
