Although I can't say that I have personally seen the change in the Himalayas, as I have only had the blessing to see them for the first time in the last year, I can say that their majesty is worth preserving. Witnessing the beauty of the Himalayas in person, by trekking through its villages and passes, it is heartbreaking to think that climate change will forever change this jewel of our planet. 1.5 degrees is indeed too hot. We need aggressive climate action now. #climatechange #beauty #climatefinance
“Everest is changing, fast. Over the last years I have witnessed with my own eyes how Himalayan #mountains are being affected by #ClimateChange in unprecedented speed. The melting of its #glaciers is making mountains more dangerous for climbers but most importantly is putting in risk the lives of billions of people that depend on its resources.” -Kilian Jornet Burgada, Athlete Sign the declaration to #SaveOurSnow 👉 https://lnkd.in/gHBVinsQ #Everest70 #FightFor1Point5
