The maximum exponent of Eurovision madness is lived in Italy. There, the population is devoted to the European festival like no other in the Old Continent. So much so that the 30 most-listened-to songs on Spotify in Italy are those competing at Sanremo Festival to represent the country at Eurovision.

The 74th edition of the contest is proving a success and celebrities from all over the world are enjoying themselves as guests.

One of them was John Travolta. The American actor, along with Russell Crowe, were in charge of animating the Italian public. Although what the actor did not expect was that he would end up becoming a focus of ridicule. And even less that he would do it for a song that became famous thanks to a Spanish artist.

When we imagine Travolta dancing, the first image that comes to mind is the artist of 'Grease' gelled, dressed in black and doing the mythical dance of the film. The presenter of the gala asked him to dance to a series of songs, including 'Grease'. The problem is that the songs kept changing and the actor was less and less amused by what was happening behind him.

The discomfort of John Travolta

Outside the facilities where the festival is held and live for all those who were enjoying Sanremo 2024, Travolta was visibly uncomfortable when a version of 'Los Pajaritos', a song made popular by Maria Jesus and her accordion all over the world, began to play.

The actor had no problem doing the dance, but when people dressed as chickens started appearing from behind and the presenter tried to put a beak-shaped hat on him, the performer was not so open to the joke.

The video has gone viral on social networks in a matter of hours. Despite Travolta's anger, for that show he has earned 200,000 euros in cache. Never has a dance of 'Los Pajaritos' been so expensive.
