Randy Orton is one of the most famous WWE wrestlers of all time. The American rose to fame after becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion at Summerslam 2004, a milestone that would only signal the beginning of a career full of titles.

Since then, he has won the WWE Championship 10 times, the Super Heavyweight Championship four times, the Intercontinental Championship once and the United States Championship once. He has also won the Royal Rumble twice, Money in The Bank once and the Elimination Chamber once. Those awards have helped Orton ensure his immortality in the industry.

What happened to Randy Orton?

One of Randy Orton's most spectacular qualities was his finisher, better known as RKO. The move is one of the wrestler's hallmarks, but it didn't come without risk. The physical requirements of the RKO led to Orton suffering significant back pain.

For that reason, the last appearance of the 'Viper' in WWE came on May 20, 2022, when he joined Riddle to face The Usos in a unification match for the couple's titles. Since then, Orton has stayed away from the ring on medical advice, but little has been said about the situation.

Though, at long last, his father, Bob Orton, has spoken about the situation. But the silence has been broken with some concerning news for WWE fans.

"I don't know if he feels like coming back," said Orton senior. "If he feels like coming back or if he feels like he's ready to come back, I think he might. On the other hand, he's very well guarded. I don't think he needs to come back. I think the doctors have told him not to. Randy will do what Randy wants to do, he always does."
