2017 Advertiser All-Metro girls tennis team

Player of the Year: Elizabeth Robertson, Montgomery Academy

Elizabeth Robertson, Sr., Montgomery Academy

Led the Eagles to the Class 1A-3A state championship. Finished with a 7-1 record at No. 1 singles and won the sectional tournament. Finished with a 7-1 doubles record and was state runner-up with Caroline Deale. Four-time All-Metro.

Kate Dockery, Sr., Montgomery Academy

Won Class 1A-3A state championship at No. 2 singles and finished with a 7-1 singles record this season. Won the sectional tournament at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles. Honorable mention All-Metro last season.

Emma Beth Teel, So., Trinity

Won the Class 4A-5A state championship at No. 1 doubles with sister Mary Conley, finishing with a 19-6 doubles record this season. Won the sectional tournament and was state runner-up at No. 3 singles, finishing with a 22-4 record.

Mary Conley Teel, Sr., Trinity

Won the Class 4A-5A state championship at No. 1 doubles. Won sectional tournament and was Class 4A-5A state runner up at No. 1 singles, finishing with a 22-4 record. 2017 Jimmy Hitchcock award recipient.

Ana Miller, So., St. James

Won sectional tournament and was Class 4A-5A state finalist at No. 2 doubles. Finished with a 22-4 combined record. Undefeated in sectional play.

Sue Richardson, So., St. James

Finished the season with a combined 21-2 record and was a Class 4A-5A state finalist at both No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles. Undefeated in sectional play.
