Cross, 68, hit the national music stage with his breakthrough self-titled album released in December 1979. The album featuring a pink flamingo on the cover and produced three of his biggest hits: "Never Be The Same," "Ride Like The Wind" and "Sailing."

His 1981 hit, “Arthur’s Theme (The Best That You Can Do),” was the title track for the film "Arthur" starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 that year and won Cross an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Two of his other more popular songs, "All Right" and "Think of Laura," were released in 1983.

Cross last performed in Southwest Florida at Artis—Naples in 2014 as part of jazz musician Dave Koz's holiday show.

For those who can't make his Bonita Springs concert, Cross will perform April 21-23 at Epcot in Orlando and April 26 at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater.
