Physostegia virginiana rosea

Physostegia virginiana rosea (Obedient Plant) creeps by underground rhizomes and can become invasive. This species does a great job of filling the bare spots in your garden so plant it where you need a lot of plant. It produces light pink spires later in the summer and the blooms are a source of nectar for pollinators. It grows to a height of 2 feet. This photo shows P. virginiana in front of Veronica spicata.
