I've had the plant for at least two years and it's the first time that I see it flowering. It was very small when I got it and I guess it finally reached maturity. Still, this is a small plant as they can cover a large area with lots and lots of flowers. I only got one :-)

I grow it in a different area and not where the photos have been taken. It gets watered every morning by my automatic system. I was lucky to see it was about to flower or I would have missed it. I don't look at my bulbos daily, sometimes not even weekly, so sometimes I miss out on them flowering.

I haven't smelled it yet, but I really like the hairy apperance. The flower is big, about 20cm. Looks like a bearded goblin!

I just smelled it and can say that it's a horrible scent. Oh my! Never felt a scent of an orchid that bad in my life. What a foul scent! Maybe I should call it odor. Seems what you can read in books and so on is true

Very nice species. Great photos of flower and foliage. I like the uniqueness of the flower this bulbo produces (a little bit of similarity to B. fascinator). Thanks for sharing.

Imagine how enamored you'd be as a pollinator tho!

Lives up to its name... but it's beautiful - I also love hairy, fuzzy orchids.
