Common NameThe Terete Angraecum [refers to the plant's leaf shape]

Flower Size 1/4" [.5 cm]

Found in the dense rainforests of Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Zaire at elevations up to 700 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with pendant, leafy stems carrying needle-shaped, but grooved above, curved and apically pointed leaves that blooms on a short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the leaf axils and subtended by a scarious sheath occuring in the spring and summer.

I have mine in a pot and it falls over the side with a fine bark mix, but if high humidity can be maintained it is better to mount this species on tree fern or cork. Give it moderate to heavy shade, hot to cool temperatures, and even waterings and fertilizer year round.
