Common Name Liesner's Aracamunia [American Botanist Missouri Botanical Gardens and Original discoverer of species current]

Found in Amazonas Venezuela on cerro Aracamuni which is a north and south situated tepui in boggy habitatsat elevations of 1200 to 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, insectivorous terrestrial with an erect stem carrying a few, lanceolate-elliptic, acute, basally narrowing below into the clasping base leaves and has liguliform, glandular, sticky structures protruding from the base of each leaf* that blooms in the fall on an erect, terminal, 1.2" [3 cm] long, 4 to 7 flowered inflorescence.

*The liguliform, glandular structures protruding from the base of each leaf are unique to the Orchidaceae and appear to be insectivorous to carnivorous in nature which is also unique to the Orchidaceae.
