Found in southern Sumatra on Mt Dempo at elevations around 1400 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping, terete rhizome with .72 to .8" [1.8 to 2 cm] between each, erect, disc-shaped, smooth, green pseudobulb carrying a single apical, erect, shiny green above, dull green beneath, linear, acute, narrowing below into the 1.6 to 2.4" [4 to 6 cm] long, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a basal, erect, longer than the leaf, peduncle terete, thickened at the apex, dull purple, 6 to 6.4" [15 to 16 cm] long, rachis nodding, many angled, to 1.5" [3 cm] long, 7.2 to 7.6" [18 to 19 cm] long overall, apically densely many flowered inflorescence.
