Common Name or Meaning The Ourobranco Pleurothallis [A town in central Minas Gerais Brazil]

Flower Size .1" [2.5 mm]

Found above the city of Ourobranco in very exposed vellozia trees at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a clear green, cylindrical ramicaul enveloped basally by a tubular sheath that carries a single, apical, erect, thickly fleshy, clear green to yellow, lanceolate to oblanceolate, conduplicate leaf with an acute apice [very succulent looking in situ, leaves become less so in cultivation] that blooms in the spring on a .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, 2 flowered infloresence.

This species grows on high hills around the city of Ourobranco and is found on non-mosssy vellozia trees.

Very similar to P dryadum but this one differs in always having 2 flowers per inflorescence while P dryadum has 4 to 7 flowers per inflorescence.

Many authors include P crebrifolia, P montipelladensis and P ourobranquensis as Synonyms of P aristulata, I have left them separate for now.
