Common Name The Strap-Shaped Leaf Pleurothallis
Found in Peru and Rio de Janiero, Espirito Santo and Santa Catarina states of Brazil at elevations around 1000 meters as a deciduous leafed, small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with elongate, strap-shaped, coriaceous, obtuse, flat leaves that blooms on a pendent, arising through a spathe, several flowered inflorescence.
"Distinguished by the leather thong shaped [strap-shaped], elongate leaves that blooms in the fall and winter with dull purple and white flowers with patches of short, deep purple hairs on the inside of the lower sepals." Lindley 1839
