Description
The Showy Honey-myrtle is a large shrub or small tree growing to 5 m tall. The leaves are elliptic with rounded tips and grow 10 mm to 25 mm long and 4 mm to 9 mm wide. The bark is grey white and papery in texture. The plant flowers in late spring and summer. The flowers are pink or purple and produced in pom-pom flower heads about 30 mm in diameter. The fruit capsules are about 4 mm in diameter.

Habitat
dense scrub on sandy soil

Distribution
The Showy Honey-myrtle is found in the south west of Western Australia in an area near Albany.
