This 1992 example is a Citroen AX GT, a performance-oriented model with a fuel-injected 1.4-liter engine shared with the Peugeot 205 XS. The car is said to have remained with its original owner in Portugal until it was purchased and imported by the seller in 2021. Remaining highly original and with approximately 138k kilometers (86k miles) showing on the odometer, this Citroen AX GT is now being offered for auction out of Pennsylvania.

Designed with a focus on fuel economy, the Citroen AX employs a highly aerodynamic and lightweight design with extensive use of plastic panels and varying thicknesses of steel throughout its structure. This 1992 example is finished in red and features custom pinstriping, integrated front fog lights, body-colored fender flares, a rear wing, a rear window wiper, an optional sunroof, recessed door handles, dual mirrors, “GT” badging, an oval tailpipe, and 13” four-spoke wheels dressed in 165/65 Laufen tires from 2020.
