Surely one of the most stunning of all palms, this species from Madagascar has a large crown of up to 30 huge, undivided leaves in the manner of Phoenicophorium or Pelagodoxa, which can reach up to 5 m (17 ft.) in length. Marojejya is highly endangered and known only from an upland swamp habitat in a small area in the northeast of Madagascar. A beautiful palm for humid, tropical areas.
