Description
From the tallest, broad-leaved, ball-headed group but has just 2 linear leaves and a stem only 15 cm tall, with a 5 cm flower ball. Good sized blooms have long segments (shaped like a lily-flowered tulip). Greenish-white marked with intense purple-pink. Lasts in condition a long time as the segments don’t shrivel after flowering.
Good drainage & alkaline compost are needed. Best in pots where it can be appreciated. A rarity, rarely seen or offered. Endemic S Uzebkistan.
