Description

A little-seen, very attractive and  dwarf Dierama and one which is considered hardy to -10C. It is clump-forming with tidy tufts of more or less evergreen, arching, grass-like, dark-green foliage carried below short, arching stems (30-40cm) of bright, red-pink to near carmine-pink bells which face sideways or upwards. These are quite unlike any other Dierama, in the way that they are held.

Flowering is usually in April to May, making this one of, if not the, earliest flowering members of the genus.

Well-drained soil in full sun for this one.
