Stella McCartney for Gap Kids, Courtney Love’s clothing line

Peaches Geldof broke fashion news on Twitter. Who knew Twitter was such an accurate source of information? Turns out that when Peaches Geldof tweeted that she had just left Courtney Love after a sleepover where they ate chocolate cake and had a hotel room fashion show wearing Love’s designs, she was actually breaking news. Love will in fact be coming out with her own clothing line.

Love’s line

Details are still unclear, but Grazia has found out from the rocker herself that the line will include cotton ribbed body suits, cashmere harem pants, and that a ruby will be stitched into
every outfit.  It sounds pricey – at least this will hopefully mean that Love, who reportedly owes $352,059.67 in unpaid charges and fees to American Express, will soon be able to pay all of
her bills.

Stella minds the gap

In other design news, Stella McCartney (Paul McCartney’s daughter, fashion designer and mother of three) has partnered with GAP to launch a collection for GAP Kids and baby GAP. The
collection is slated to hit later this year and will be sold at GAP stores in the US, UK, France, Ireland Canada and Japan, as well as online.

The line will mark the designer’s first foray into children’s apparel, and McCartney seems very excited about it – “for years now I’ve wanted to create a collection for
kids, it’s something I’ve often been asked about. I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced, which is particularly important given the current climate. It’s really exciting for
us to do a boys and girls collection for the first time.”

This is not the first time McCartney has partnered with other brands for one-off collections. She has collaborated with Adidas and H&M in the past for highly successful lines.
