Inspired by Magrittes original painting of the Lovers, I felt this image was current with regards to the Covid pandemic, Not been able to see loved ones and wearing face masks to help prevent the spread.

Kevin Gavaghan is an artist based in the United Kingdom whose works have been exhibited nationally. His paintings portray the psychological feelings and emotions that manifest from the subconscious as a result of living in a modern society while simultaneously thinking of the past. Gavaghan likens his style to contemporary baroque surrealism. Using oils, he twists and deforms the human figure, almost to the point of total abstraction, bringing them to life with bold colors.
