Renovate OTF, manufactured by Sepro Technologies, is a easy to use granule aquatic herbicide for the control of nuisance aquatic weeds at various water depths for one year or longer and works within 4 to 10 days of application.

This dust-free product contains triclopyr 14.0%, which quickly removes weeds by traveling systemically through the aquatic foliages leaves and stems, interfering with its metabolism for successful growth while having little to none impact on most desired monocots (grassy type large floating and submersed aquatic plants).

Renovate OTF ensures that native and desired aquatic foliage remains intact for aquatic ecosystem restoration programs and carries no restriction on recreational use such as swimming and fishing or livestock consumption of water from treated areas.

Tools Needed

To apply Renovate OTF, you will need to use either aerial application equipment or ground application equipment or watercraft application equipment like a boat or other power equipment. For surface applications, use a mechanical spreader such as a fertilizer spreader, hand spreader, blower, or mechanical seeder, or similar equipment capable of uniform applications.

Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Renovate OTF to use by measuring the setback distance from the land to the potable water intake. To do this, measure the edge of the land that meets the water in feet to the end of the infested area in a straight horizontal line. When using boats and power equipment for surface water applications, you will need to determine the proper combination of boat speed, rate of delivery from the spreader, and width of swath covered by the granules. Determine pounds per minute by multiplying the miles per hour, swath width (in feet), and pounds per acre then dividing that total by 495 (miles per hour X swath width (in feet) X pounds per acre / 495 = pounds per minute). To apply a 2.5 ppm Renovate OTF to 50 acres of potable water sources, use 160 lbs. of Renovate OTF per 2,970 sq. ft. For spot treatments, apply a 2.5 ppm amount of product to less than 1/2 of an acre by using 3.0 lbs. of product per 500 sq. ft. or 6.1 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific rates and restrictions.
• Step 2: Calibrate your equipment to deliver appropriate amounts of Renovate OTF then load the spreader with measured amount of product.
• Step 3: Wait until water is calm and split the total application rate of Renovate OTF into three equal applications 8 to 12 hours apart. Apply this product uniformly over weeds in treatment sites either by hand or with spreader equipment.

Where to Use

Renovate OTF can be used on emersed, submersed and floating aquatic weeds in ponds, lakes, reservoirs, marshes, wetlands, impounded rivers, streams and other bodies of water that are quiescent, non-irrigation canals, seasonal irrigation waters and ditches which have little or no continuous outflow.

Do not apply to tidal salt water bays or estuaries or to un-impounded rivers or streams.

Do not apply this product directly to, or otherwise permit it to come into direct contact with grapes, tobacco, vegetable crops, flowers, or other desirable broadleaf plants, and do not permit dust to drift into these areas.

When to Use

Apply Renovate OTF when water is calm and when weeds are present. This product may be applied during the off-season to surface waters that are used for irrigation on a seasonal basis.

Do not spread this product when wind is blowing toward susceptible crops or ornamental plants that are near enough to be injured.

Safety Information

Renovate OTF is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.

Water treated with this product may not be used for crop or food-crop irrigation purposes for 120 days after application or until triclopyr concentrations are determined by laboratory analysis, or other appropriate means of analysis, to be 1.0 ppb or less.

Consult with appropriate state or local pesticide and/or water authorities before applying Renovate OTF in or around public waters. Permits and posting or treatment notification may be required by state or local public agencies

Do not apply where runoff water may flow onto agricultural land as injury to crops may result.
