Feel-Good Interview: Meet Mark Pellegrino of ‘Supernatural’ - 7 Things to Know About Him

Film and TV actor Mark Pellegrino is known for his starring role as Lucifer in Supernatural, as well as for his acting work in such series as Dexter, Lost, Being Human, and 13 Reasons WhyHe shared seven interesting things about himself.
Favorite Movies 
“I’m a horror fan. I like horror movies as a genre,” he admitted. “I just saw a very one with Timothée Chalamet, who is a very fine young actor, and it is called Bones and All. I recommend it to people… it’s a very interesting and strange horror movie.” 
“There is a great movie starring Carrie Grant called Only Angels Have Wings, and I think it’s a fantastic film… everyone should see it. It’s very life-affirming,” he said. “I also like October SkyCasablanca, and Rocky. These movies inspire me to be better.” 
Favorite Series to Binge-watch 
He shared that he enjoys binge-watching the British anthology TV series Black Mirror. “This new season, Season 6, is a very good one… it has a great dystopian view of AI,” he said. “I’m a big Twilight Zone fan, especially the ‘60s version with Rod Serling.” 
Favorite Cheat Meal 
On his favorite cheat meal, he shared, “I’m an ice cream freak. Ice cream is a big deal for me because the rest of the time, I am eating pretty healthy.” 
Favorite Sports to Watch and to Play 
Regarding his favorite sports, he revealed, “I love UFC, I love Jiu-jitsu. Even though I am not great at it, I am working on it. Jiu-jitsu is one of those sports that takes years and years to get proficient. I hope I can remain injury-free to continue doing that sport until I’m 100.” 
Favorite Mottos to Live By 
“Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow you will die.” “I like the Epicurean philosophy of living,” he said. “I also like the idea of living for your highest and furthest value. You live today for that thing in the future.” 
Dream Acting Partners 
“There are just so many good actors now. It is really hard to pinpoint one. Marlon Brando committed a major sin when he died before working with me. I had it in my head that someone one day I was going to work with Marlon Brando. I am one actor removed from Robert De Niro, and I would love to work with Robert Duvall. Gene Hackman, even though he retired, would have been one of the greats to work with as well.” 
How Mark Pellegrino Define Success
He furnished his definition of success as "eudaimonia." "Eudaimonia is a specific kind of happiness in your life. That is my goal right now; to achieve that every single day," he explained.
