Robin Tunney gets engaged in Rio

The Mentalist star Robin Tunney, 40, has accepted a proposal from boyfriend Nicky Marmet. It came on Christmas Day in Brazil, but that wasn't his first attempt at popping the question.

Tunney tells Us Weekly that Marmet, an interior designer, "made an earlier attempt at the beach in Bahia, but I had what I thought was Dengue Fever and I threw up over his shoulder when he was about to take the ring out. Mercifully, I recovered and was healthy enough to accept the second time."

He asked her on Christmas Day in Rio de Janeiro.

"I was shocked," she added. "I was too ill to notice anything was up in Bahia so he'd caught me completely off guard."

This will be the second marriage for Tunney, who was wed to producer/director Bob Gosse from 1997 to 2002.
