This is a camouflage cover for the PASGT vest that was used by the US Military. The PASGT, Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops, system has seen extensive use all around the world by the US and other militaries. PASGT Vests were used from the 80s until the first half of the War on Terror in large numbers, seeing limited use until somewhere around 2016. This is simply a cover for the vest that allows the wearer to blend in better when in arid environments, as opposed to the standard woodland camo found on the vest. This does NOT offer any ballistic protection. The cover is attached by working the soft armor shoulder panels into the slots on the cover, then working straps found around the vest through the appropriate holes until securely fastened. 6 Color Desert Camo, also called chocolate chip, saw limited use in the US Military. It was mainly used in Desert Storm and Somalia, being phased out starting in 1991. Overall this is a great way to make your PASGT vest blend into arid environments, and look cool while doing it.

Features:
- 6 Color Desert Camo Pattern – Developed during the 1960’s as a result of tension in the Middle East. This camo was trialed in the rocky deserts of California, which formed the basis of its design. Main colors are brown and tan with small black and white rock shapes spread throughout. The pattern saw use primarily during Desert Storm and operations in Somalia during the 1990’s. Uniforms in this pattern are referred to as the DBDU, Desert Battle Dress Uniform. Due to the rock shapes in the uniform the pattern also became to be known as Chocolate Chip. Even as the pattern saw use and widespread issuing, the pattern was already being replaced by the 3 Color Desert Camo Pattern. The DBDU camo pattern was phased out of service by the mid 1990’s.
