Lewis County High School students will see a familiar face in the principal’s office in August.

The Lewis County Board of Education named John Whiston the school’s new principal.  Whiston was assistant principal at LCHS for eleven years, and he taught history in the school before that.

Whiston said he is looking forward to taking on a new role in the school he’s been a part of for years.

“It’s going to be, I think, an advantage.  I know all the teachers.  I know the students.  I know the community.  And, I think, you know, we’ll continue to have great support from the community, and that’s something that should make the transition easier,” said Whiston.

Lewis County High School students will return to class on August 13.
