Description

This bright, shiny fern grows in rock crevices and old walls, in higher as well as lower altitudes. The brown areas beneath the leaves contain the spores, the productive organs.

Leaves

Bipinnate leaflets on either side of the stem, each leaflet is further subdivided. Fronds: Triangular in outline, curved and tapering to the tip. Each frond has 15 pairs of serrated leaflets on either side of the stem, each leaflet is further subdivided, 20-40 cm long.

Fruits Seeds

Sori: a cluster of spore-producing structures, visible on the underside of the leaf.
