Description
A very variable hairy annual.
Stony and rocky places, garrigues, road sides, old walls and sand dunes.
Flowers
The five-petalled flowers are borne in loose clusters. The colour ranges from pinkish-purple to white.
Leaves
Pinnate row of leaflets on either side of the stem. Leaflets on either side of the stem, serrated.
Fruits Seeds
Achene: seed with a beak (1-4 cm), splits open in a spiral to release seeds.
Edible
Whole plant when young; it has a similar flavour to parsley.
