Description

A strongly scented variable herb, hybridises readily with other mints. Angular, smooth or hairy, much-branched stem on a creeping rootstock.

Wet meadows, shallow margins of streams, ditches and along rivers.

The flowerhead is rounded, pinkish-purple, with 1 or 2 whorls beneath.
